YUKON Vancouver's WESTERN COPPER CORP. has received the final report of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board that indicates the Carmacks copper project may proceed subject to terms and conditions in the report. The project is located about 200 km north of Whitehorse.

The company says it is committed to moving forward in a collaborative and productive manner with all governments, including the Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation government, the community of Carmacks and Yukon at large is confirmed by the appointment of Claire Derome as VP government and community relations. She will be based in Whitehorse.

The Carmacks open pit will have a productive life of at least six years. Annual production will be 14,500 tonnes of copper cathode from solvent extraction and electrowinning methods. Go to www.WesternCopperCorp.com to view maps of the property.
