WIMBORNE, Alberta - Environment Recovery Equipment (ERE) has partnered with North American Tailings and Environmental, a division of North American Construction Group (NACG), to provide bitumen skimming and recovery services to the Athabasca oil sands.

ERE says its Advancing Dynamic Incline-Plane (ADIPTM) skimmer is the only skimming equipment capable of recovering waterborne heavy oils and bitumen with viscosities up to 2,000,000 cSt.

"ERE's unique skimming technology, combined with NACG's vast oil sands operating experience, will provide a cost effective, reliable bitumen recovery service to the oil sands," said David Hines, president of ERE. "The service is a win-win for everyone as it will protect birds and wildlife by removing floating bitumen from the ponds while enhancing oil recoveries by reclaiming bitumen once lost to the tailings impoundments." ERE is dedicated to designing, creating, selling and maintaining leading edge and world class machinery for oil spill clean-up in critical environmental areas by non harmful, natural mechanical means. Specializing in heavy oil recovery, ERE's systems are intelligently designed to eliminate environmental damage and costs associated with disposable machinery components.
