BURLINGTON, Ontario - Eco Waste Solutions (EWS) says that it has signed a new contract to bring point-of-need waste solutions to a mining project in West Africa. The company will supply three ECO Model batch incinerators to the client. The equipment will process 23 t/d, all of the domestic waste generated on site.

Using an EWS solution improves sanitation at large camps by reducing vermin and disease with the aim of enhancing personnel health and safety. The ECO Model is clean burning, leaving behind no legacy landfill. It is also a means of minimizing the environmental footprint of the mine.

Among its customers in Canada, EWS counts the Snap Lake diamond mine, the Voisey Bay nickel mine and the Polaris zinc-lead mine (closed).
