EQUIPMENT: Detour Gold to by Cat trucks from Toromont

TORONTO - Detour Gold has agreed to purchase the mining truck fleet for its Detour Lake gold mine in northern Ontario from Toromont Industries. The fleet will include 23 Caterpillar 795F, 322-t haul trucks and ancillary equipment. Detour has arranged to finance the US$105-million cost through Caterpillar Financial.

The trucks will begin arriving at the mine site in mid-2011, and all of them will be there by early 2013 to coincide with commercial production. The transaction is to close in Q1 2011 and is subject to customary conditions.
