TORONTO, ONTARIO – Orix Geoscience, Zone 14 GeoInfo Solutions and Grassroots Syndicate announced on Jan. 22 that they have signed a memorandum of understanding whereby Orix will acquire Zone 14 and Grassroots. The acquisition builds on Orix's expanding presence in the mineral exploration industry and its ability to provide skilled geoscience professionals and services to exploration and mining companies.
This transaction will combine Orix's 3-D interpretation and modelling skill set with Zone 14's 2-D geographic information systems expertise and Grassroots' experienced geological field team. This transaction will also expand Orix's footprint into several key mining camps in northwest Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan with existing offices in Toronto and Sudbury, ON. Orix will continue to develop a strong business based on cost effective solutions and high quality professional services.
