BRITISH COLUMBIA NVI MINING, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toronto's BREAKWATER RESOURCES, reported a fatality at its Myra Falls mine on July 7. Ken Sandberg was killed in an underground accident.

The local newspaper, the "Campbell River Mirror", reported that the man was crushed by a piece of underground equipment.

NVI Mining extended its condolences to Sandberg's family and friends, but declined to comment further until an investigation of the accident is completed.
