FLUORSPAR: New resources include Director and AGS veins

NEWFOUNDLAND – Canada Fluorspar of St. John's has calculated new resource numbers for the AGS and Director veins at its St. Lawrence property in the town of the same name.

NEWFOUNDLAND – Canada Fluorspar of St. John's has calculated new resource numbers for the AGS and Director veins at its St. Lawrence property in the town of the same name.

Based on recent drilling at the down-dip and southern extensions of the Director vein as well as the western part of the AGS vein the indicated resource is 2.1 million tonnes averaging 51.0% CaF2 and the inferred resource is 8.5 million tonnes averaging 42.2% CaF2. The thickness of the Director vein ranges from less than 1.0 m to more than 11.0 m, and the thickness of the AGS vein ranges from 2.0 m to approximately 20.0 m. Core samples ranged from 7% CaF2 to approximately 90% CaF2.

The company said there are more areas of fluorspar mineralization adjacent to the mined out parts of the Director vein above the 550 level of the old mine. That material could total 1.0 million to 1.2 million tonnes at grades from 50% to 55% CaF2.
