TORONTO – Inmet Mining Corp. has made a $1-million gift to the Schulich School of Business at York University to support Schulich's new MBA specialization in global mining manager. The gift will be fulfilled by four payments of $250,000 each in the years 2012 through 2015.
Inmet's gift will support increased teaching capacity, academic research, industry outreach and scholarships. Graduates are expected to work not only in the mining and resource related sectors, but will also pursue careers with financial institutions, engineering companies, and consulting, accounting, legal firms and other sectors that service the mining industry.
