NUNAVUT – The International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) has certified both the Meadowbank gold mine 70 km north of Baker Lake and its supply chain have been certified in full compliance with the Cyanide Code. The mine belongs to Agnico Eagle Mines. The conditional certification was awarded after the successful initial audit of the operations in May 2015. Now that Agnico has implemented all aspects of the corrective action plan, both operations were fully certified in March 2016. The auditor's corrective action plan completion reports are available on Agnico-Eagle's signatory companies pages of the ICMI web site: www.CyanideCode.org/signatory-company/agnico-eagle-mines. (The corrective action plans have been removed.)
