GOLD: Alderon’s Dufferin mine to reach production in next 60 days

NOVA SCOTIA –Appalaches Resources of Rimouski, QC, says that the reopened Dufferin gold mine near Port Dufferin will start producing gold in the next 60 days. Full production at a rate of 300 t/d will be reached within the next six months.

NOVA SCOTIA –Appalaches Resources of Rimouski, QC, says that the reopened Dufferin gold mine near Port Dufferin will start producing gold in the next 60 days. Full production at a rate of 300 t/d will be reached within the next six months.

The first ore face is in preparation and the rehab of other underground levels is proceeding as well as the refurbishment of the refuge station. Access to the second ore face is also underway. The majority of equipment has been acquired, including a Falcon concentrator, induction furnace, screen assembly and other parts for the mill. Recruitment has started to fill the 75 jobs that the project will create.
