NOVA SCOTIA – Toronto’s Anaconda Mining has received the necessary permits to take a 10,000-ton bulk sample from the underground workings of the Goldboro project. The company has hired Cementation Canada as the mining contractor to take the sample and aid with underground development.

Anaconda expects it will take about four months to collect the sample and the results will follow later. Extraction will use the existing decline excavated in the late 1980s.
The company is hiring local people and contractors to carry out security duties, surface cleaning, transportation and other activities. In total, about 50 people will be on site while the sample is mined.
