BRITISH COLUMBIA – The latest assays from the expanded 2016 drill program that Surrey, BC-based Ascot Resources received from its Premier gold project near Stewart include 83.5 g/t Au (uncut) over 1.0 metre. The bonanza grade came from hole 1107 in the Northern Lights zone and occurred within a 15-metre section grading 8.98 g/t Au. The total length of hole 1107 was 43.15 metres at an average grade of 3.68 g/t Au. It included a second 1.0-metre section that graded 40.20 g/t (uncut). Nor was that the only promising hole. No. 1061 returned 13.50 g/t Au (uncut) over 2.00 metres within a 44.22-metre long section that averaged 1.80 g/t. Hole 1084 returned 28.50 g/t over 1.39 metres within a 13.84-metre section that averaged 3.12 g/t (uncut).  See the table in the company’s news release dated Oct. 14, 2016, for additional results. The former high grade Premier gold mine produced 2.1 million oz of gold and 44.9 million oz of silver during its lifetime.
