QUEBEC – Bold Ventures of Toronto completed a five-hole drill program at the Black Phoenix area of the Lac Surprise gold property 50 km south of Chapais with the intersection of a hydrothermal gold-bearing system. Bold has an option to earn a 60% interest in the property from Northern Superior Resources. The Black Phoenix area earlier yielded a grab sample of 19.9 g/t gold. The area appears to have structures that extend east of the Lac Surprise property onto the adjacent property of Vanstar Mining Resources. (Photo: Northern Superior Resources)[/caption] Two of the holes drilled by Bold cut promising gold values. Hole BP-17-04 intersected two separate, intensely altered, silicified and sericitized sedimentary horizons, one from 202 to 224.72 metres and the other from 229.2 to 247.56 metres. The best interval was 6.34 metres grading 1.12 g/t gold, including 0.73 metres at 4.50 g/t. Hole BP-17-05 cut a slightly less altered and mineralized layer from 75 to 80.9 metres and from 229.2 to 247.56 metres. Pyrite varying from 2% to 6% was observed throughout the zones. The best intersection was 5.9 metres grading 5.9 metres of 0.62 g/t Au including 1.4 metres of 1.48 g/t. More details about Lac Surprise are available in the presentation at www.BoldVenturesInc.com.
