TURKEY – Centerra Gold of Toronto has completed the purchase of the 30% interest in the Oksut gold mine that belonged to partner Stratex International of London, UK, for US$20 million. Stratex will retain a 1% net smelter royal subject to a $20-million cap. Oksut is an advanced exploration project 60 km south of the city of Kayseri.

Centerra operates the Kumtor gold mine in Kyrgyzstan as well as the Boroo gold mine in Mongolia and the Gatsuurt gold development, also in Mongolia Elsewhere in Turkey it is exploration for gold at the Akarca project.
