QUEBEC – Beaufield Resources of Montreal has sampled a new showing at its Eleonore-Opinaca property in the James Bay region. Sixteen grab samples were collected, the best of which assayed 1.95% Cu and 28.2 g/t Ag and 0.51 g/t Au. A boulder assaying 4.22 g/t Au was also discovered in an area where no outcrops are present.

The highest grade grab sample came from a peninsula known as the Snoopy area. Five other showings were sampled and returned gold values ranging from 2.0 to 6.5 g/t Au and up to 12% Mo. Anomalous copper was also noted.

Beaufield says this may be a porphyry style area of mineralization. The Eleonore-Opinica property lies between the Eleonore gold mine that Goldcorp is developing for production this year and Virginia Mine‘s Regional gold exploration property.
