ONTARIO - Armistice Resources of Toronto is moving forward, preparing its McGarry gold mine near Kirkland Lake for production by the end of this year.

Hoisting began in early June, following rehabilitation of the shaft. A second shift or miners was added at the beginning of July to advance the project, and four active headings are being advanced. The company wants to expand its workfore to accelerate the pace of development.

More equipment has been delivered to the site. These include a refurbished Alimak raise climber and a new underground diamond drill rig that will be set up on the 2250 level. A grizzly on the same level is also under construction.

"With the price of gold having climbed to around the $1,600 level, this is a really exciting time to be within just a few months of becoming a producer," said Todd J. Morgan, president and CEO.

Information about the McGarry project is posted at www.Armistice.ca.
