QUEBEC A new discovery in a proven camp is always welcome. The latest announcement comes from ADVENTURE GOLD of Montreal. The company has made what it calls a "significant" gold discovery at its 100%-owned Beaufor North property adjacent to the producing Beaufor mine that belongs to RICHMONT MINES and LOUVEM MINES in the Val d'Or camp.

Hole 08-01, located 1 km north of the Beaufor mine and 400 metres southeast of Adventure's Resenor gold deposit, intersected two previously unexplored gold structures. The first, a 0.5-metre intersection assayed 35.8 g/t Au. The other was 3.4 metres long and assayed 2.9 g/t Au, including a 0.9-metre section of 6.6 g/t. This hole tested the contact between the Bourlamaque pluton and the volcanic rocks. Follow-up drilling is slated to begin soon.

A second hole on the southeast part of the property returned no significant gold values.
