NOVA SCOTIA – The Dufferin gold project (near Port Dufferin) is now fully permitted for production, says owner Ressources Appalaches of Rimouski, QC. The company received the final permit, the industrial approval, from the provincial authorities on Nov. 27, 2013.

The first gold is to be produced in Q1 2014. Plans call for restarting the project at 300 t/d with anticipated annual production of 20,000 to 25,000 oz of gold. Expansion is expected to double production in 2015 as the anticline structure to the east and at depth of the old mine is explored.

Appalaches has financing lined up in the form of a gold prepaid facility to supply the remaining US$7.5 million to reach production. The company expects the signing of the loan documents will occur shortly. The start of commissioning will begin four months after the signing, and a ramp-up period of four months is anticipated.

The company will host a conference call and webcast on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time to discuss the details and provide a development update. A replay of the webcast will be available at RessourcesAppalaches.com until Dec. 15, 2013.
