BRITISH COLUMBIA - The results of five new drill holes in the North Contact zone of the Fran gold project have been announced by 100% owner, Vancouver-based YANKEE HAT MINERALS. The property is 60 km north of Fort St. James in the Omineca mining district of the central part of the province.

The winter drilling program at the North Contact Zone consisted of 17 holes for more than 3,300 m. The results include some of the widest and highest grade intersections encountered to date. These include 3.84 grams per tonne (g/t) Au gold over 27.6 m including a higher grade core of 10.62 g/t Au over 8.3 m (drill hole FR-07-74); and 2.10 g/t Au over 39.7 m including 5.99 g/t over 7.4 m, 3.14 g/t over 7.0 m, and 2.87 g/t over 5.6 m (hole FR-07-71).

The company has now reported assays from the first 13 of these holes. The first objective of the program was to infill the 250-m central gap that was left between previous drill holes (the drill plan map can be found at http://yankeehatminerals.com/_resources/fran/images/north_contact_drilling_trenching.jpg). The results confirm that the North Contact Zone is continuously mineralized over 1,000 m of strike length, with mineralization beginning near surface. The target remains open along strike in both directions.
