NUNAVUT - Sabina Gold and Silver of Vancouver says the results of drilling early this year are promising at its Back River gold project about 60 km from Hackett River. One hole in the Goose claim block returned 18.99 g/t over 27.2 metres including 64.51 g/t over 4.1 metres. Another hole in the Umwelt target returned 10.14 g/t Au over 26.0 metres including 16.62 g/t over 10.0 metres.

Sabina's goal has been to increase the near-surface resource, and it has. The indicated resource of the four most promising targets (Goose, George, Umwelt and Llama) contains an estimated 2.66 million oz of gold. The inferred resources contains another 1.56 million oz.

Or, to look at it another way, the indicated resource is 9.88 million tonnes grading 8.33 g/t Au, and the inferred portion is 5.60 million tonnes grading 8.65 g/t Au.

The next steps at Back River include baseline environmental work, a scoping study, permitting and building an airstrip, and the testing of even more potential drill targets. The company's latest corporate presentation is available at www.SabinaGoldSilver.com.
