GUINEA - Montreal-based SEARCHGOLD RESOURCES is exploring its Mandiana gold property with the help of local termites. Following Phase 1 of a termite mound survey, the company said the mound anomaly is similar in size and strength to the major termite mound gold anomalies of West Africa, noting in particular the Sadiola mine.

Termite mound sampling is a very cost-effective exploration method as it presents a unique opportunity to sample material that has been excavated underground and brought to the surface. Since material originating close to the bedrock is actually sampled, this method is also very efficient in providing a higher degree of certainty as to the source of the gold and therefore outlining significant anomalies which should be drill-tested in priority.

SearchGold has completed a detailed survey of the mounds, located in the N'Dimbaye area. The next step is to mount a preliminary drill campaign. A detailed map is available at www.SearchGold.ca.
