MANITOBA - HudBay Minerals of Toronto continues to drill high grades at the Lalor gold and base metal property near its Snow Lake concentrator. The latest results from the copper-gold zone include 11.70 g/t Au, 30.63 g/t Ag, 6.88% Cu, and 0.37% Zn over 6.44 metres from 1,364.32 to 1,370.76 metres, and 5.25 g/t Au, 15.26 g/t Ag, 3.58% Cu and 0.15% Zn over 3.35 metres from 1,210.95 to 1,214.30 metres.

HudBay also received assays from several holes confirming the continuity of the gold mineralization and the presence of high-grade lenses in the gold zone. One hole tested 11.07 g/t Au, 21.70 g/t Ag, 0.46% Cu and 0.09% Zn over 24.43 metres from 877.57 to 902.00 metres, and another assayed 29.65 g/t Au, 42.97 g/t Ag, 0.43% Cu, and 0.05% Zn over 18.38 metres, from 884.22 to 902.60 metres.

The company tentatively plans to spend $65.2 million at the Lalor project this year.
