NEVADA - The very first drill intersection from the Ogee zone at the Pinson mine, assayed 33.5 g/t Au over 45.0 metres, reports ATNA RESOURCES of Vancouver. The intersection was cut obliquely through the zone, and therefore may not represent the true width of the mineralization, cautioned the company.

Within this excellent intersection there were a 16.6-metre section grading 45.2 g/t Au and an 11.3-metre section grading 45.4 g/t Au.

The junior company is earning a 70% interest in the former producer from BARRICK GOLD. The property contains a Carlin-type deposit located in the Getchell Gold Belt in northeastern Nevada. The former mine produced 1.0 million oz of gold before it was closed in 2000.
