ONTARIO KIRKLAND LAKE GOLD has drilled at least 15 mineralized zones at its South mine complex near Kirkland Lake. Drilling has extended previously defined mineralization and intersected new zones. Two new zones were discovered in the central area of the South mine below the 1,645-metre elevation.

KL Gold interprets one new zone as being a footwall splay that dips 47 to the Lower D North zone. The new zone appears to merge with the Lower D North below 1,655 metres. Drill core assayed as high as 141.9 g/t Au (4.14 opt) uncut, including a section of 1,888.1 g/t (55.08 opt) over 275 mm. Cut grade is considerably less: 20.6 g/t Au over a true width of 4.1 metres, including the higher grade portion. The second zone was intersected 7 to 9 metres below the zone described above. Core from this zone has assayed 42.5 g/t over 2.6 metres, 108.7 g/t over 500mm and 118.6 g/t over 500 mm (true widths).

Three new intersections of the YYZ zone have allowed KL Gold to extend the strike length of this zone to 121.9 metres, centered at the 1,645-metre elevation. Core assayed 173.1 g/t Au (uncut) or 60.0 g/t (cut) over a true width of 450 mm. The YYZ zone remains open to the east and up-dip to the 1,615-metre level.

Details are available in the Sept. 30, 2008, news release posted at www.KLGold.com.
