ONTARIO - CLAUDE RESOURCES of Saskatoon, Sask., is preparing to begin the underground drill program from the 12th level at the Madsen gold property near Red Lake. The start of the program has been moved forward to Q4 2008 rather than Q1 2009.
The Madsen project includes the former Madsen gold mine and mill as well as the Buffalo, Starratt-Olsen, Aiken-Russett, Redaurum and Hagar Option properties. They are located approximately 10 km from the town of Red Lake.
The Fork zone in particular has returned excellent assays. Using screen fire metallic assay methods, hole RUM-08-46 returned 18.48 g/t Au over 1.60 metres. Hole RUM-08-48 returned 17.32 g/t Au over 10.33 metres, including 30.80 g/t Au over 3.63 metres.
