ONTARIO – Drilling conducted by Vancouver-based Mexivada Mining Corp. at the Roger property near Matheson has cut high gold values – as much as 73.1 g/t – and discovered at least two new gold zones. The company also says the mineralization at Roger shows some visual resemblances to "flow mineralization" at the adjacent Black Fox gold mine belonging to Brigus Gold.

Mexivada pointed out two of the assay results, hole R12-1 which contained a mineralized zone 8.4 metres in core with intervals grading 10.4, 11, and 23.5 g/t Au, and hole R12-3 which contained 1.3 metres grading 21.37 g/t Au including 0.3 metres grading 73.1 g/t and 0.5 metres grading 12.6 g/t further down hole. Additional core and check samples continue to be assayed.

Hollinger Consolidated Mines drilled the Roger property in 1933, and Chevron Minerals tested it in the late 1980s. Both companies discovered gold mineralization.

Maps and photos of the Roger property are available at Mexivada.com.
