MANITOBA Toronto-based CARLISLE GOLDFIELDS has been drilling to the east, to the west, and below the workings of the former MacLellan gold mine in the Lynn Lake Greenstone Belt. Thus far the company has traced the deposit 1.2 km along strike and 500 metres down dip. The deposit remains open both along strike and at depth.

Hole MG08-07 returned the best assays, 25.96 g/t Au over 1.50 metres approximately 200 metres below surface. That hole also returned assays of 5.86 g/t over 1.00 metre, 15.23 g/t over1.00 metre, 19.40 g/t over 2.32 metres, and 11.25 g/t over 1.00 metres between 120 and 200 metres.

The former MacLellan mine operated from 1986 to 1989 and produced 144,000 oz of gold. Additional information is available at www.CarlisleGold.com.
