LA SARRE, Quebec Vancouver-based AURIZON MINES has confirmed the continuity between three mineralized horizons along the Casa Berardi fault. The horizons are located along the fault, and 100 metres and 200 metres south of the fault. The best results returned 4.1 g/t Au over 15.6 metres and 5.9 g/t Au over 5.0 metres. In addition, two infill holes drilled in the upper levels of Zones 118 - 120 confirmed the continuity of the structure.

Aurizon has completed the first phase of its exploration program at the former Casa Berardi West mine and begun updating the 2000 feasibility study. The company estimates there are 332,000 oz of gold that could be recovered.

The surface program has moved to the former Casa Berardi mine area where two rigs will be working this year. The first hole of the program, drilled 600 metres east of the former mine, returned 20.6 g/t Au over a 3-metre minimum mining width. This mineralization is approximately 150 metres south and 25 metres below the bottom of the shaft that was constructed in 1995.
