ONTARIO – The Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines has approved the advanced exploration closure plan for the Hardrock deposit. Hardrock is the flagship property of the Trans-Canada project belonging to Premier Gold Mines of Thunder Bay, ON. The Hardrock deposit is located near Geraldton.

Premier plans to proceed with underground exploration, but it is awaiting two approvals (to take water and for commercial sewage) from the Ontario Ministry of Environment before it can begin dewatering and ramp excavation. The permits are currently under review and are expected to be granted before the end of Q2 2012.

The Trans-Canada Project is host to several past-producing mines which collectively produced more than 4 million oz of gold from depths primarily within 600 metres of surface between 1938 and 1968. Visit PremierGoldMines.com to learn more about the various properties included.
