QUEBEC - Metanor Resources of Val d'Or, QC, has finished the underground exploration shaft to a depth of 165 metres at its Bachelor Lake project 225 km northeast of its head office. The sinking project, including shaft stations on levels 13 and 14, was completed on budget in July. Lateral development was to begin this week so that a 5,000-tonne bulk sample can be mined.

The company is working on a 15,000-metre definition drilling campaign at Bachelor Lake and the Hewfran property. The results will be included in a feasibility study to be completed later this year.

The hoist room, shaft house, 500-t/d mill, tailings pond and core shack remain from previous operations at the Bachelor Lake site.

Detailed information about the geology and mineralization is available at www.Metanor.ca.
