ONTARIO - Gold Canyon Resources of Vancouver has encountered 3.30 g/t Au over 64.0 metres at its Springpole project in the Red Lake Mining District. This intercept filled a gap in the Portage zone and demonstrates the continuity of the zone from 50 metres below surface to depths of over 200 metres, said the company.

Another hole cut 1.31 g/t Au over 21.5 metres at a shallow depth in the Camp zone. The company says it believes the historic, deeper mineralized zone extends to surface.

Visible gold in an outcrop at Springpole was first noted in 1928. The deposit has never been mined. Gold Canyon will conduct a Stage two drilling program this summer at the property.

Details of the Springpole project and others belonging to Gold Canyon are posted at www.GoldCanyon.ca.
