YUKON - TAGISH LAKE GOLD of Richmond, B.C., has received the necessary permit amendments that will allow it to begin construction of a new lower adit at the 1,100-m elevation at its Skukum Mineral District property 80 km south of Whitehorse.

The property hosts the Skukum Creek gold-silver deposit and the Goddell Gully gold deposit, with a currently defined measured plus indicated resource of 1.12 million t grading 8.0 g/t Au and 153.1 g/t Ag, and the Mt. Skukum gold deposit. There is also a 300-t/d mill on the property. Tagish Lake hopes to have the Skukum Creek and Goddell Gully deposits in production in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
