NORTHERN QUEBEC - ALEXIS MINERALS of Toronto is pulling nice grades from its Lac Herbin project, 10 km from Val d'Or and adjacent to the past-producing Ferderber gold mine. Alexis reports that the S1 zone, a steeply dipping quartz-tourmaline, pyrite vein within the S1 shear assayed as high as 25.86 g/t Au over 7.0 metres, including a 1.5-metre intersection grading 107.0 g/t Au. Other holes in the same zone returned 20.68 g/t Au over 1.6 metres, 8.14 g/t Au over 2.7 metres, and 6.92 g/t Au over 0.5 metres.

In the West E shear, which is open to the west and at depth, one hole intersected 8.67 g/t Au over 7.7 metres including 0.9 metres of 63.2 g/t material. Additional drilling is planned.

The press release containing the complete drilling results is available at www.AlexisMinerals.com.

The Lac Herbin deposit is part of the Aurbel property in which Alexis holds 50%. The company has the right to acquire the remaining 50% of the property from AUR RESOURCES. The Herbin deposit is presumed to have a 1.1-million-tonne inferred resource at 7.3 g/t Au.
