GOLD: Golden Band suspends mining at Komis

SASKATCHEWAN – The new board of Golden Band Resources in Saskatoon have temporarily halted mining of the Komis deposit in the La Ronge Gold Belt while the company's operations and alternatives are reviewed. It is the directors' stated objective to put operations back into a profitable position.

The Komis suspension will free up equipment and personnel to build the access road to the nearby Golden Heart deposit that will be put into production as soon as detailed mine planning is complete. The company expects to put Komis back into the mine schedule for future production.

Operations at the Roy Lloyd mine (the Bingo deposit roughly 70 km southwest of Komis) are not affected.
