Goldrea is building the mill for the use of artisanal miners who would otherwise treat their ores in an environmentally unsound manner, releasing arsenic and mercury. Working with the Peruvian government and local communities, the company is building a plant that uses ball milling and gravity concentration with recycled water to separate the valuable gold particles.

The company has acquired most of the necessary equipment and is now assembling and building the plant, which is coming in on budget.
