ONTARIO – Melkior Resources of Ottawa reports bonanza grades – 34.06 g/t Au over 1.50 metres – from drilling at its Carscallen gold project in Timmins. The assay was among those from six of the 15 holes in the current program.

Nor was that the richest intersection. Another hole in the ZamZam zone returned 40.40 g/t over 0.65 metres. And the hole that assayed 34.05 g/t has a 0.55-metre intersection that went 80.50 g/t. A third high grade hole in the zone returned 25.7 g/t Au over 0.50 metres.

Melkior pointed out that the high grade mineralization consists of a single interval varying from 0.50 to 2 metres thick and includes quartz veins and pyrite veins of variable proportions. This single interval typically contains gold grades above 10.00 g/t. The lower grade series of veins consists of several small quartz and pyrite veins occurring within a 5 to 10 metre interval for a total intersection of about 20 to 30 metres wide. These veins commonly contain gold grades below 5.00 g/t.

A table of all the results from these six holes is available at Melkior.com in the news release for Nov. 28, 2013.
