QUEBEC – Metanor Resources of Val d'Or, QC, has four drills turning underground at its Bachelor gold mine 225 km northeast of Val d'Or, and the results are promising. The hole drilled on level 5 confirmed the extension of the A vein north of the shaft between levels 5 and 6 where the vein was first intersected by drift development.

The best intersection in zone A was 9.5 g/t Au over 10.1 metres, or if readers prefer grade over length, 17.3 g/t over 4.6 metres.

Two drills continue to turn on levels 8 and 12 as Metanor defines and increases the resources in the Hewfran East and Main zones where mining is planned in the coming months.

Since acquiring the then-closed Bachelor mine, Metanor has sunk a shaft to approximately 725 metres and renovated the 1,200 t/d mill. Additional information is available at Metanor.ca.
