QUEBEC – Metanor Resources of Val d'Or, QC, says its Bachelor gold project 225 km northeast of Val d'Or has reached commercial production. On Nov. 2, the mill had run for 60 consecutive days at over 80% of capacity. Therefore, the company will begin reporting operating results on Dec. 1, 2013.

The Bachelor project produced 4,082 oz Au in October by milling ore that averaged 6.15 g/t Au from development and stopes. Metanor expects output to be close to 10,000 oz Au per quarter. Operating cash costs will be near $1,000 per oz in the next few months, said the company, but that should decrease once full production is reached.

Total proven and probable reserves at the project are 843,772 tonnes grading 7.38 g/t Au, or 200,177 contained oz.

Technical reports are posted at Metanor.ca.
