GOLD MINING: First dor bar poured at Bachelor project

QUEBEC – Metanor Resources of Val d’Or, QC, has delivered its first gold doré bar to the Royal Canadian Mint from its 5,000-tonne bulk sample at the Bachelor project in Le Sueur Township.

QUEBEC – Metanor Resources of Val d’Or, QC, has delivered its first gold doré bar to the Royal Canadian Mint from its 5,000-tonne bulk sample at the Bachelor project in Le Sueur Township.

The reopened Bachelor Lake mine and 1,000-t/d mill is slated to reach full production in Q3 2012. Average annual output will be in the 60,000-oz range from 2013 to 2015. The Bachelor project has measured and indicated resources of 643,826 tonnes at 7.96 g/t Au and an inferred resource of 207,517 tonnes at 6.76 g/t Au, or approximately 300,000 oz of contained gold.
