ONTARIO – Toronto’s Armistice Resources has begun regular ore shipments from its McGarry gold mine 40 km east of Kirkland Lake to the McAlpine mill at Cobalt. The ore is being processed under the terms of a custom milling contract at the SMC (Canada)-owned plant.

Haulage to the mill began on April 16, 2012, and 3,000 tonnes were shipped that  month. An additional 5,000 tonnes were shipped in May, and the total is nearing 10,000 tonnes. The contract covers treatment of the first 30,000 tonnes of ore from the McGarry mine. Gold sales are expected to being in June or July, according to Armistice.

Three stoping areas – 325W and260W on the 2250 level have been developed. The 325W ramp in being driven to provide access to the 400N zone, the next zone targeted for production.
