QUEBEC - Wesdome Gold Mines of Toronto announced plans to develop the Dubuisson zone at the Kiena mine near Val d'Or. The zone is situated at a depth of 330 metres about 3 km east of the Kiena shaft. The existing exploration drift on that level will be extended 1,000 metres to reach the zone. The company has budgeted $1.1 million for this project in 2010 to establish drill access.

The Dubuisson zone has been traced by surface drilling to a depth of 400 metres. Underground drilling will allow crews to drill the structure to a depth of 700 metres. Surface drilling yielded results from 4.63 g/t Au over 11.5 metres to 26.10 g/t Au over 10.3 metres.

Wesdome is confident that this new zone will provide additional production capacity at Kiena, perhaps as early as two years from now.

More information about a the Kiena mine is available at www.Wesdome.com.
