QUEBEC – The Quebec authorities have given the nod to milling gold ore from the McGarry mine 40 km east of Kirkland Lake, ON, at the Aurbel mill belonging to QMX Gold Corp. of Toronto. The mill is adjacent to QMX's Lac Herbin mine 10 km northeast of Val d'Or, QC.

The McGarry gold mine is 75% owned by Armistice Resources Corp. of Kirkland Lake, ON, and the remainder belongs to Jubilee Gold Exploration. The mine is serviced by a 700-metre deep shaft that reaches high grade developed areas. Sampling late last year in the sill drifts (cut to 51.42 g/t and undiluted) assayed 10.8 g/t over an average width of 1.52 metres, 6.0 g/t over 1.33 metres, and 8.1 g/t over 1.44 metres.
