ONTARIO – Northern Gold Mining of Toronto has signed an agreement with St Andrew Goldfields (SAS) for the milling of at least an 80,000-tonne bulk sample from Northern's Garrcon gold deposit. The deposit forms part of the Garrison property 40 km north of Kirkland Lake.

Stockpiling of ore at the mine site is underway, and processing of the initial 8,000-tonne batch will begin immediately. Northern is allowed to take a bulk sample of up to 150,000 tonnes.

The Garrcon deposit is a candidate for open pit mining. It has a measured resource of 421,000 oz at 1.07 g/t Au, and an indicated resource of 526,000 oz at 1.16 g/t Au. There is also an inferred resource of 616,000 oz at 2.80 g/t Au. The company says the deposit has the potential to develop underground resources for bulk mining.
