ONTARIO – Drilling by Montreal’s Osisko Mining at the 100% owned Garrison gold project has returned high grade intersections, such as 7.7 metres assaying 14.9 g/t Au. The current 20,000-metre program is testing the limits of the Jonpol and Garrcon gold deposits. The above result came from the Jonpol deposit. Osisko said other intersections in the Garrcon deposit included 63.3 metres at 1.3 g/t Au, 1.0 metre at 14.8 g/t, and 0.5 metre at 25.7 g/t. The Jonpol and Garrcon deposits are part of the company’s Garrison project 40 km north of Kirkland Lake. More than 130,000 metres of diamond drilling have been done at Jonpol, and a 184-metre shaft and ramp to the 150 level were developed. A 50-tonne bulk sample was taken in 1997. A trial production permit is in place at the Garrcon deposit where a 75,000-tonne bulk sample was taken in 2014. The material was processed at the nearby Holt mill, yielding 3,516.3 oz of gold. Osisko obtained the Garrison project in December 20165 when it acquired Northern Gold Mining. For complete drilling results please see www.OsiskoMining.com.
