ONTARIO – Infill drilling at the Borden gold project near Chapleau continues to improve grade to the southeast, according to 100% owner Probe Mines of Toronto. A higher grade core has been identified during drilling to the southeast where intercepts include 36.5 metres grading 4.5 g/t Au and 42.9 metres of 3.4 g/t Au.
Infill drilling has been done elsewhere on the property, too. In the central area of mineralization has intercepted up to 53.7 metres of 1.6 g/t Au, including 25.2 metres at 2.5 g/t. The hanging wall continues to return gold bearing intervals. The highest gold value from a single sample has been 102 g/t Au over 1.0 metre.
Probe continues to drill step out holes to the southeast to extend the high grades along strike. So far, work has indicated continual improvement in thickness and grade in that direction, says the company.
