QUEBEC - At the Joanna property 20 km east of Rouyn-Noranda, Vancouver-based Aurizon Mines says the most recent mineral resource estimate for the Hosco pit is 31% larger than the one done in July 2010.
At a cutoff grade of 0.5 g/t Au, in pit measured and indicated resources of the now total 54.1 million tonnes grading 1.29 g/t Au. The inferred resource is 7.7 million tonnes at 1.15 g/t. Contained gold in all categories is estimated to top 2.5 million oz.
