NUNAVUT - Vancouver-based Sabina Gold & Silver says the resource number at its Back River gold project 60 km from Hackett River has been increased to 4.03 million oz of gold or 22.3 million tonnes at 5.62 g/t Au in the indicated category. The inferred resource is 10 million tonnes grading 6.23 g/t containing another 2.02 million oz of gold. Results of drilling at the Umwelt deposit were largely responsible for the increase.

The estimates were made using assays from the Goose, Llama, Umwelt and George deposits. The resources are recoverable both from open pit and underground.

Sabina spent $30 million at Back River and $10 million at Wishbone, completing a total of 74,000 metres of drilling. Drilling will continue in 2012.

Hackett River is a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit with considerable base metal content as well as gold and silver. It may be one of the largest undeveloped VMS deposit in the world. See the numbers at www.SabinaGoldSilver.com.
