BRITISH COLUMBIA — Having recently acquired 100% of the Taurus gold deposit in the Cassiar Gold Camp, Vancouver's Hawthorne Gold has updated the 43-101 estimate of resources at the property. The inferred resources is 33.1 million tonnes averaging 0.99 g/t Au at a 0.50 g/t cutoff. It could contain over a million ounces of gold. A total of 382 drill holes totalling 43,173 metres were used in the resource calculation.

The former Taurus high-grade underground mine on the property operated in the early 1950s and again in the early 1980s. Hawthorne would like to develop a large tonnage, low-grade open pit mine.

Meanwhile, Hawthorne is working toward production later this year at its nearby Table Mountain deposit, also a former producer. See www.HawthorneGold.com.
