MANITOBA – San Gold Corp. of Winnipeg has confirmed with recent drilling and ongoing development that a new and parallel mining horizon is located immediately to the north of its Rice Lake gold mine at Bissett.

The previously discovered 710 and 711 veins have been extended an additional 100 metres along strike within this new horizon. Hole 615-14-020 assayed 4.8 g/t Au over 6.1 metres including 17.4 metres over 1.0 metre. Hole 615-14-021 intersected 54.3 metres of mineralization that tested 5.4 g/t Au. Along that length, three high grade intersections were also cut: 13.8 g/t over 3.8 metres, 18.0 g/t over 4.2 metres and 16.7 g/t over 3.5 metres.

The 710 and 711 veins occur within a mafic unit located 100 to 200 metres north of and in the immediate hanging wall of the Rice Lake mine. and are currently being accessed and developed from 26 level, which is the main tramming level. Additional drilling and development recently commenced from mining levels and incline/decline access above and below 26 level.
