QUEBEC – Diamond drilling in October at the Cheechoo property in the James Bay region has resulted in two new gold zones, said owner Sirios Resources of Montreal.

Drill hole 18 intersected them both. The highest grade was 7.24 g/t Au over 7.9 metres within a larger intersection of 2.02 g/t over 33.5 metres from 119.5 to 153.0 metres below surface. The second zone returned 2.04 g/t Au over 8.8 metres (visible gold) in a 19.5-metre section, from 35.5 to 55.0 metres, that graded 1.53 g/t.

Sirios says the entire hole 18 is included in a gold envelope of lower grade with a total weighted average grade yielded 0.68 g/t Au over 199 metres hosted in tonalite.

The Cheechoo gold project is 800 km north of Montreal and less than 10 km from Goldcorp's Éléonore gold mine. Visit Sirios.com for additional information.
